GAMERS DOUBLE DOWN FOR VO-TECH EDUCATION

TOMS RIVER - The Ocean County Foundation for Vocational Technical Education held its second annual Casino Night fundraiser at the Quality Inn in Toms River on Tuesday, October 17.

The highly popular event is one of a number of annual fundraising activities the Foundation organizes every year in order to raise money for the benefit of the Ocean County Vocational-Technical School, its students and its many first-rate programs. The money raised is used to provide scholarships for students and to provide funds to help purchase state-of-the-art equipment which might be otherwise unavailable due to budget constraints.

During the event, participants played games like blackjack, roulette and other games of chance. Winners exchanged their chips for tickets used in a raffle held at the end of the evening for prizes provided by generous donors.

The gaming tables and operators were provided by the Tumbling Dice organization, which specializes in fundraisers of this type.

Those wishing information regarding Ocean County's firstrate vocational programs, or the Foundation's fundraising initiatives, are encouraged to call 732- 240-6414.
