May Is Proclaimed "Police Memorial Month"
LAKEWOOD - Ocean County Freeholder John P. Kelly presented a proclamation to Manchester Township Police Chief William Brase, president of the Ocean County Chiefs of Police Association, declaring the month of May as "Police Memorial Month" and May 16 as "Peace Officers Memorial Day" during the police memorial ceremony held at the Ocean County Police Academy in the Ocean County Park, Lakewood. Kelly, who also serves as Director of Law and Public Safety, encouraged all citizens to support law enforcement officers in the fight against crime and make every effort to express our deepest gratitude to the men and women who protect us.
