| BRICK - The 61st New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment had an encampment on the property of the Brick Township Historical Society's Havens Homestead. During the August weekend, hundreds of people came to see the demonstrations, which recreated what Union Civil War soldiers would have done in the 1860s. Many of the people also visited the Lizzie Herbert House and took tours of the Havens Homestead Museum, both operated by the historical society. A tent was used for the weekend encampment. A corn crib which is part of the Brick Township Historical Society's display of items related to farming a hundred years ago was seen behind the tent.
