FOOD PANTRY RISING FROM THE ASHES
 | | --Photo By Keith Hagarty JACKSON - When fire swept through the Jackson Food Pantry three weeks ago, it wiped out the pantry's entire inventory of food, all of which was targeted towards the area's needy families. Some $10,000 and 11,000 pounds of ruined goods later, the pantry and the Jackson Women of Today, who run the pantry, were themselves hoping for charitable efforts. So far, the people of the community have come through, donating at bins like the one pictured above to help get the pantry back up and running. For more information about donating or helping out at the pantry, and the Jackson Women of Today and its membership, call Diane Stanaway at 732-833-6800. |
