Brick Township Senior Outreach Services Offers Program
BRICK - Brick Township Senior Outreach Services is offering the Chronic Disease Self- Management Program. This course meets once a week for six weeks, with the sessions being approximately two and a half hours.
It is designed to give people with chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, osteoporosis and/or their caregivers the knowledge, skills and confidencethey need to take a more active part in their health care. Participants learn strategies for managing symptoms, working with health care professionals, setting weekly goals, problem solving, relaxing, handling difficultemotions, eating well and exercising safely and wisely.
The course meeting dates are June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8 and 15 at 12:30 p.m. All six meetings will be held at the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Rd. If you are interested in attending, please call 732-920-8686 to register.
